Camping

Experience the thrill of overnight camping in our Wildlife Sanctuary. Hear the majestic calls of African lions and other wildlife as you immerse yourself in nature. No hookups for water or utilities, but restroom facilities available 24/7. Check-in & Check-out at 12 pm. Choose from two serene locations: one nestled by the mountains on the west side of the property, the other surrounded by mountains near a convenient restroom. For inquiries, call (775) 538-7093. We offer a variety of tours, including personal, educational, and photography. Safe Haven is also the ideal location for your next private event or celebration! Contact us at 775-538-7093 for more information.

General Tour - No Reservation Required!

Available to the general public — offering a comprehensive view of our facility and residents.

Days, Times & Admission Cost — Seven Days a week at 9am, 11am 1pm, and 3pm.  The Sanctuary closes at 4pm. Admission is $25 per adult. Kids 11 and under are $12. Kids 5 and under are $5. Reservations are not required for General Tours. Please arrive several minutes before your selected tour time to check-in.

Private Tour - Reservation Required

Available for $50 per person.  Reservations required.

School Tour - Reservation Required

For grades 1-12 that offer children an educational experience that includes information on the exotic pet trade and its impact on the wildlife crisis. Reservations required.

Photography Tour - Reservation Required

Open to amateur and professional photographers alike. Photography tours cost $50 an hour, with a two-hour minimum. A unique opportunity to photograph our beautiful residents. Reservations required.

Founder Tour - Reservation Required

Join Safe Haven’s founder, Lynda Sugasa for an extraordinary program. For $190 per person, guests will be provided a guided tour of the sanctuary beginning with our mission, information on the captive wildlife crisis, the exotic pet trade, and its impact on wild populations. The tour includes the history of our forty-plus rescued residents and information about their rescues and wild counterparts. We will demonstrate how we provide for their care and include several big cat feedings. Other activities will include food preparation and enrichment demonstrations.

Please note: Safe Haven Wildlife Sanctuary is a no-contact rescue organization, therefore we do not allow direct contact with any of the animals.
